But to understand why I like telling stories for brands, I should probably tell you mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have always, always, always enjoyed stories, whether that be as a teller or a listener. For a long time, I pushed my passion for writing to the side because I thought I wouldn’t be able to do<\/em> anything with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Boy, was I wrong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n After giving biology the ol’ “college try” and quickly being weeded out, I thought to myself, “Screw it, what do I have to lose?” I signed up for a few screenwriting classes, and that’s when things clicked. I probably should have realized creative writing was the right fit for me after spending countless hours thinking about how I would re-write episodes and storylines from my favorite TV shows. But hey, better late than never. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I became an advertising major at the University of North Carolina’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media, learned about copywriting, and thought it was too good to be true. <\/p>\n\n\n\n “People actually do<\/em> this for a living?” <\/p>\n\n\n\n Turns out they do, and now I’m one of them. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hey there.
